SKI BINDINGS MOUNTING RECOMMENDATIONS

Properly mounting ski bindings is essential for both safety and performance. Always have bindings mounted by a qualified ski technician. To ensure accurate mounting, always use a mounting jig provided by the binding manufacturer.

Recommended Drill Bit Sizes for MAJESTY Skis

  • Touring, carbon touring and freestyle skis: 3.8mm x 9mm drill bit.
  • Titanal skis and carbon freeride skis: 4.1mm x 9mm drill bit.

Ski mounting drill bits are designed with built-in collars to drill holes to a specific depth. The correct drill bit size depends on your binding type. Always ensure that the mounting screws are not too long, as improperly installed bindings can cause injuries and void your ski warranty.

Recommended Stance

There is one point indicated on all MAJESTY skis:
RECOMMENDED STANCE – the recommended mounting point.

Recommended Ski Stance

While the type of binding mostly affects the performance, the placement of the binding on the ski also makes a difference. Depending on the model and construction of our skis, the kind of terrain and most likely snow conditions they will be skied on, we have applied corresponding recommended stances to all MAJESTY skis. If you plan to make your own adjustments, please note:

  • Rockered/Hybrid Skis behave differently than classic camber skis.
  • Mounting bindings at the recommended stance delivers the optimal skiing performance.

WARNING: Always use the recommended stance line as a guide when mounting bindings. NEVER use the top sheet graphics or color transitions as your guide. Top sheet graphics - especially on Freeride models where black or gray transitions to bright tail colors - must not be used to determine binding placement.

Binding Mounting Tips

  • The mounting point should align with the centerline of your ski boots.
  • Before installation, take precise measurements and determine the exact binding location with your service technician or shop.
  • Be aware of the difference between the size of the ski boot’s insole and the boot itself to ensure a proper fit.
  • Measure once, measure twice, measure thrice - drill once!

By following these tips, you can maximize your ski performance while ensuring a safe and reliable setup.
